Track Your Labor Efficiency & Top Performers!

A Word from the Founder Mike Andes ...

I can still remember the day when I told my team I wished that I could pay based on performance instead of by the hour. I ran a little lawn care business. I wanted to pay someone more the harder they worked and the more profitable they were for the business. I hated that my business couldn’t afford to pay employees a live-able wage.

Here’s why I thought I couldn’t switch to P4P (Pay-For-Performance):

  •  it would ruin the Team culture and create individualist thinking
  • it would take the office Team so long to calculate the math on performance pay that it wasn’t worth the efficiencies gained by the field labor
  • quality of work would go down since everyone would be in a rush

We implemented P4P mostly as a survival tactic since the business needed to run without my management on a day-to-day basis.

I was flat out WRONG on #1 and #3… the Team culture was not hindered and quality of work actually when up and callbacks down since now pay checks were reduced if work quality standard were not met or clients complained (Yellow Slip System).

But #2 was still an issue. We used excel spreadsheets and they actually worked pretty good. But, I wanted to create a software that allowed employees to see the leaderboard of top performing employees. I wanted that software to produce the employees daily reports on how much they earned and track their performance over time. I wanted the manager to have a full grasp of their labor efficiency and where they could tighten up the ship and weed out low performers.

#2 has been solved with P4Psoftware.com and I am proud to announce the redesign of the site is now complete along with FREE training videos about P4P implementation in your business!
